FOTAN LAIKI
Known for her city girl image and her carefree persona, 火炭麗琪Fotan Laiki (named after a place in called Fo Tan in Hong Kong) has broken the stereotype of doing only bubblegum pop songs for being a female artist in Hong Kong. As a rapper and a DJ, Fotan Laiki is one of the very few Hip Hop/ experimental artist in the already niche genre of Hong Kong Hip Hop scene. In 2017, Laiki and her best friend Anna formed a girls group called the "Cooking Bitchess", putting mainly experimental sound on Soundcloud. Unfortuntely in 2018, Anna died of natural causes, which has greatly impacted Laiki in both her artistic career and her personal life. Laiki now mainly work on DJ stuff and occasionally featured with other Hong Kong underground artist.
